OUR GUILD’s MISSION:
To combat a decline in community connection and engagement by fostering skilled storytellers who bridge divides, spark dialogue, and build stronger communities through the power of narrative.
We provide educational services and materials to encourage storytelling among children, adults, and communities, and provide training and support for tellers, teachers, and community influencers who want to advance the art of storytelling.
We also recognize individuals, institutions, and organizations for their contributions to storytelling.
This GivingTuesday, the Suncoast Storytellers Guild invites you to be part of something extraordinary. We’re gearing up for our upcoming event, “Stories of Resilience: Rebuilding St. Pete Together” being held at the USF St Petersburg Campus and we need your support to make it truly impactful.
Why Your GivingTuesday Donation Matters:
Your contribution will help us create an unforgettable day of storytelling and community support on March 22nd, 2025, at USF St. Petersburg. This event will:
- Offer captivating storytelling sessions and a 2-hour Storytelling Concert featuring top internationally Renowned storytellers to uplift our community
- Provide uplifting workshops and Discussion Groups to help residents with financial aid, mental health, and disaster recovery
- Create new opportunities for our community to heal and grow together
- Online Donation
We use Zeffy, so your donation to Suncoast Storytellers goes directly to them, with no platform fees, and provides you documentation of your donation
- QCD (Qualified Charitable Donation)
For those over 70½, a QCD lets you donate directly from your IRA to charity, tax-free, up to $105,000. It counts towards your required minimum distribution, potentially lowering your taxable income.
